A wonderfully characterful antique Romanian bench featuring its original hand-painted folk decoration. Layers of worn black paint reveal traces of deep red motifs beneath, creating the kind of patina that simply cannot be recreated.
Sourced in Romania and dating from the early 20th century, this is a piece full of history, craftsmanship and soul. The simple slatted back, hand-painted details and honest wear make it as much a decorative statement as a practical bench.
