Vintage Heavyweight Kantha Throw with Indigo Fringe

A beautiful heavyweight vintage Indian Kantha, hand-stitched from layers of softly worn cotton sari fabric.

Reversible, with a wonderful mix of faded mint, blush pink, lilac, soft blue and cream. One side has a more decorative patchwork design, while the reverse features relaxed stripes and beautifully mismatched panels. Finished with a deep indigo fringe that gives it a distinctive contemporary edge.

CONDITION

Very good vintage condition. As this is made using layers of antique and vintage textiles, there are areas of fading, irregular stitching, patches and gentle signs of age. These are part of its history and individual character.

We love the weight and softness of this Kantha, as well as its beautifully faded colours. The deep indigo fringe frames it perfectly, and both sides are lovely enough to display.
